RTFKT, creator of digital sneakers and collectibles, teams up with parent company Nike on the Dunk Genesis ‘Void,’ a futuristic take on the ‘80s hoops shoe that debuted in 2022 as an NFT. Treated to a stealthy black finish, the upper combines a synthetic base with canvas overlays at the forefoot and heel. A signature Swoosh in bright violet stands out on the lateral side, while a color-matched RTFKT blade logo adorns the medial side. The sneaker can be customized via removable modular pieces on the tongue and back tab. Nike’s springy Zoom cushioning is housed in a chunky midsole with debossed RTFKT branding on the lateral sidewall.

The RTFKT x Nike Dunk Genesis ‘OG’ reimagines a heritage hoops shoe for gamers, collectors and creators. Debuting as a virtual object with dynamic digital skins, the physical model utilizes a light grey synthetic upper with laser-etched details and molded bio-based PU trim. A gradient blue finish enlivens the Swoosh on the lateral side, and the RTFKT blade logo that graces the medial side. A detachable tongue clip and heel shield allow for customized looks. The sneaker rides on a matching grey foam midsole featuring debossed RTFKT branding and Zoom Air cushioning.

The very rare genesis RTFKT x Nike Dunk collaboration, with only 5,847 pairs in existence (ever), and the first time Nike has produced an alternative silhouette to the Nike Dunks since the 1980s. These shoes were sold exclusively to Clone X holders (at $444), but are now available to the public on the secondary market. The sneakers feature materials that have never been used on a sneaker before, as well as removable/modular attachments and optional “space laces” that hold their tightness.
